Without a doubt, Age of Tribulation is one of the most intriguing indie projects I introduced some time ago on TBL. It’s a dark fantasy RPG developed by Apostlegames, gearing up for demo testing.

Players take on the role of a Chosen Apostle in the corrupted land of Hyrinthia, where dark forces have overtaken royalty, commoners, and beasts alike.
The game combines turn-based combat, optional permadeath (with meta-progression), survival mechanics (eating, drinking, sleeping), a day/night cycle, and a rich lore-filled codex to explore.
Apostlegames has opened sign-ups for demo testing of Age of Tribulation. Alongside this announcement, the studio confirmed that the game’s opening cutscene has been completed and is available to watch at the end of the article.
The cutscene features voice-over work by Phillip Nathaniel Freeman and orchestral pieces by Scott Buckley.

The developer is currently seeking around ten testers, though the number may increase depending on applications received.
Selected participants will have their names included in the demo credits. Interested players must complete a short questionnaire, send it via email to [email protected] with the subject line “Demo Tester Applicant,” and join the official Age of Tribulation Discord server. Applications will be accepted until October 1.

On that date, Apostlegames will notify those chosen and assign them the Demo Tester role on Discord, granting access to a dedicated channel where feedback and communication will take place.
The demo will be distributed to testers on October 15, with the testing period running until November 1. The developer notes that players will still be able to enjoy the demo after the testing window closes.
