There isn’t much information yet about the game I’m introducing today, but here’s everything that’s been shared so far.
Let’s start with the title: Eternity Breaker, developed by Secret Character —the same team behind the tactical RPG Banchou Tactics —a stylish pixel-art strategy game set in a high school featuring grid-based combat.

Their new project keeps the pixel-art aesthetic but shifts to a 2.5D presentation, combining traditional roguelike gameplay with small grid-based maps for its battles.
Its core idea is that your build is your class. Skills fall into three main types – Melee (red), Magic (blue), and Technical (green) – and the mix a player collects dynamically transforms their role over the course of a run.

Picking up different combinations unlocks more than 20 basic and high-tier classes, from straightforward martial archetypes to hybrid setups with unique techniques or ultimate attacks, so a few choices can turn a simple fighter into something far more specialized.
Artifacts and items layer extra effects and synergies that encourage experimentation and create distinct playstyles from run to run.

Eternity Breaker, developed by Secret Character and LINIAS and planned for a 2026 release on PC via Steam, features a looping descent structure to frame a battle to escape a cycle that never ends.
Every encounter runs on skills: each round randomizes which abilities are available, and even their upgrade states can shift, pushing players to read the situation instead of relying on rigid rotations.

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a demo at some point, but everything about it so far looks very promising. In the meantime, you can check out the announcement trailer below.
