The road to the conclusion of the Dark Deity trilogy has become considerably cheaper. Developer Sword & Axe and publisher indie.io have launched a new Steam promotion celebrating the recent reveal of Dark Deity 3, reducing the price of Dark Deity 2 by 40% until July 23, 2026.

The discount brings the PC version of Dark Deity 2 down from €20.69 to €12.41 with prices varying by region.
The original Dark Deity is also included in the promotion at 85% off, while a discounted franchise bundle offers another option for players who have not yet started the Sildairan family’s story.
Released in March 2025, Dark Deity 2 takes place 25 years after the first game and follows Gwyn and Riordian, descendants of Irving Sildairan, as they attempt to defend Verroa from the expansionist Asverellian Empire. Its campaign combines grid-based tactical battles with political decisions, character relationships, and army development.

Combat revolves around a roster of 20 playable heroes and 45 branching classes, giving each unit several possible roles as the campaign progresses.
Skills, equipment, passive effects, and class choices can significantly alter how characters perform, while the built-in randomizer and adjustable campaign settings offer additional flexibility for repeat playthroughs.
Catching up now also provides some useful context for Dark Deity 3, which is being presented as the conclusion of the trilogy. The upcoming tactical RPG follows Gwyn and Arthur Sildairan as they command separate armies across the living world and the afterlife, investigating the spread of dangerous death cults and the approaching God of Death.

The third game is listed as Coming Soon for PC through Steam. Its announced features include approximately 35 chapters, 28 playable units, 74 classes, an army morale system, more than 100 weapons, and another extensive randomizer covering recruitment, loot, abilities, enemies, and other campaign elements.
