Topebox has rolled out a new update for the playable demo of The Severed Gods, its dark fantasy roguelite RPG built around turn-based battles, reincarnation loops, relic-driven builds, and giant bosses with breakable body parts.

The new v2.0.4 patch focuses mainly on improving the feel of the demo, adding mouse support for easier control and navigation, alongside a new Short Rest feature. The update also fixes a bug that could cause enemy relics to appear incorrectly in the reward pool.
The demo remains available on Steam, giving players a chance to try the game’s first slice ahead of the full release, currently planned for 2026. For those who already tested it during the previous demo window, this update should make a return run a bit smoother, especially for players who were waiting for more comfortable mouse-based controls.
The team also suggests restarting the game or Steam client to make sure the patch downloads correctly.
