Surprising in its arrival just as the game’s announcement had been, Nightmare Frontier has just dropped its demo, unveiled only minutes ago by Ice Code Games, the team behind Hard West and Rogue Waters.
First teased by me on turn based lovers in early May, this new tactical roguelite RPG echoes the mechanics and visual style of Rogue Waters, inviting players into a twisted version of early 1900s America. Here, your leadership is pushed to the limit against nightmarish foes brought to life, the Dreadweavers.
As the Ringleader, command a daring crew of scavengers reclaiming a ravaged former boom town, turning supernatural threats into lucrative opportunities. Engage in dynamic tactical gun-and-slash combat, combining ranged trick shots with strategic melee maneuvers to outwit and overpower fearsome enemies born from your team’s darkest fears.
