Deseret Games is taking its debut tactical RPG, Aegis Force: The Scorian War, to Kickstarter on February 1, 2026, with the Steam version already live and a demo available to download.

The Kickstarter is set up with a $10,000 funding goal and a reward ladder built around early access to the game and community perks. The campaign write-up highlights beta access and private community spaces, plus digital extras like an art book and a higher-tier option that lets a backer help design an enemy type that appears in the finished game.
It also mentions in-game credits for supporters who want their name tied to the project as it moves toward release.
Stretch goals are framed as expansions to both systems and content. The announcement points to a secret recruitable character, a deeper party affinity feature, and a Boss Rush mode as the kind of additions that sit behind higher funding milestones.

It also calls out professional voice work and the possibility of aligning a PC launch with console versions if the campaign climbs far enough, with further goals meant to add more areas, enemies, story content, and quality of life upgrades.
Aegis Force: The Scorian War is set on the continent of Ianua during a war that has dragged on for a century between one nation shaped by magic and another built around technology. Combat is built around grid-based, turn-based tactical battles, with Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Shining Force serving as touchstones for how encounters are meant to feel.
Outside fights, it leans on world and town exploration, with the studio selling the flow as more than a string of missions.

The campaign targeted roughly 30 hours, built around Callon Roth and his early squad, with Callon described as a Tactimagus who can use spells and abilities to shape turns. It also mentions 15 or more recruitable characters across familiar archetypes like warriors, thieves, mages, and engineers, plus promotion and ability customization.
Aegis Force: The Scorian War is currently listed for PC on Steam with a 2026 release window, and the playable demo is already up for anyone who wants a first look before the Kickstarter goes live on February 1.
