Persona 4 Revival New details

Atlus has shared a 22-minute Persona 4 Revival broadcast, giving a much clearer look at how the remake is changing the original game.

Persona 4 Revival

The presentation covered the story, daily life in Inaba, Social Links, dungeon exploration, and combat. Producer Kazuhisa Wada also described the project as a full remake of Persona 4 Golden, with fully voiced Social Links, re-recorded story scenes, new events, rebuilt locations, and rearranged versions of familiar tracks.

Combat appears to be receiving some of the biggest updates. The 1 More system returns, but it now works alongside Baton Pass, letting characters hand an extra action to another party member.

Players can also guard against Shadows while exploring, potentially staggering them before a battle begins. Another new mechanic, Send Flying, allows the party to knock a status-afflicted enemy into another Shadow, spreading the same ailment while dealing extra damage.

Prime Time is the most notable addition shown during the broadcast. Once its gauge is filled, the party can take consecutive actions, use skills without paying their normal costs, ignore enemy resistances, and pass turns between characters more freely. The sequence can then finish with a character-specific Series Finale attack.

Atlus also confirmed that dungeon gameplay has been reworked, although the studio has not yet explained how much the layouts and progression will differ from the original. Persona 4 Revival launches on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available through Game Pass at launch.
