A game I’ve been following for a long time, one that’s been in development even longer. Back in August, I shared its release window. A few hours ago, the exact date arrived, and here I am to share it with you.
The date arrives with a new release date trailer confirming the window set earlier this summer.

Kingdoms of the Dump is a JRPG-inspired adventure set in the Lands of Fill. The game follows Dustin Binsley, the Trash Can Knight, across “five and a half” kingdoms threatened by the toxic Grimelin army. It sticks to an SNES-era look but pushes beyond simple nostalgia with turn-based grid battles, timed hits, and no random encounters.
Exploration leans on platforming, jumping, elevation changes, and light traversal, plus character swapping on the field to use situational abilities like Rust, Climb, Gun, or Bubble to open routes or solve small puzzles. World travel happens on a large Mode-7-style map.

The Steam page lists Windows, macOS, and SteamOS/Linux support at launch and English as the current language option (interface, audio, and subtitles). System requirements are modest, with OpenGL 2.1 support noted for PC.
Credits also point to a small but seasoned team: lead pixel art by dm404, boss art by Francis Coulombe, and music by bobbyghostly, with a guest track from William Kage and a special appearance from Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta. It’s a lineup that fits the game’s 16-bit inspirations while keeping the project’s oddball identity intact.

Kingdoms of the Dump will launch on November 18, 2025, for PC via Steam, with development led by Roach Games alongside Dream Sloth Games and publishing handled by Roach Games. Below is the new trailer.
