Light Fairytale Episode II on Switch
We covered the JRPG series Light Fairytale in the past. Now, the indie developer Neko.Works announced that the second episode is ready to land on Switch. Set to be released on the 18th of August 2022 through the Switch eShop with pre-orders set to begin on August 11. If you want to learn more about the game check out our review.
The Tower: To the Bottom Announcement
For JRPG fans another cool announcement the one from Japan indie dev Shueisha Games. The Tower: To The Bottom. A JRPG that tells the story of a children’s village set upon a tower. The inhabitants must descend the tower looking for food, items and resources. The game presents a roguelike formula with card-based battles. You can learn more about The Tower: To The Bottom here.
Soul Hackers 2 – New Trailer
The JRPG from Atlus is ready to be launched on the 26th of August 2022 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One. And to raise the hype bar they just released a new trailer presenting Nekomata, one of the demons present in the game.
Duelyst raised from the ashes…by fans
The competitive deck builder game Duelyst, is taken back from the dead by a group of fans that are working on the original beta of the game. The project will come out as Duelyst 2 with a free-to-play formula and based on the beta, players will draw two cards instead of one, each turn. PC gamer has more info about Duelyst revival.
Revamped Bosses and more in the last update of Stolen Realm
Stolen Realm by Burst2Flame Entertainment is a promising Turn-Based Tactics RPG actually in Early Access set in a high-fantasy, low-poly world where players can go alone or join other players for an online cooperative mode. In their last update their bosses have become stronger and ready to fight the player with new skills, to the point of making life much more difficult for adventurers, and with a second patch everything was balanced. Stolen Realm is turning up very well.
Square Enix presents Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Last week we talked about the rumors around Tactics Ogre; finally, with an announcement Trailer, Square Enix presented Tactics Ogre: Remake. Set to be released on PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on November 11, 2022. The remake of 1996 Super Famicom Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together will present:
- Beautifully remastered graphics
- Fully voiced cutscenes in English & Japanese
- Full orchestral re-recording of the game’s soundtrack
- Redesigned battle system
- Adjusted level management system
- Reworked AI
- Simplified and improved UI

Dark and Horror RPG Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion has a release date
Italian Indie dev Sezhes is working on a dark Turn-Based RPG named Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion. An old-school JRPG with a deep and mysterious storyline set in a fictional dark city of Gris. Explore the story of four tormented souls and kill the abominations that threaten the existence of reality itself. I tried the game a while ago, and now, devs just declared the release date set for 16th of August 2022 on PC.
Desert Revenant launches the Closed Beta
We talked about the roguelike deckbulding RPG Desert Revenant lately, and now the devs, Kreationware invites players to join the closed beta, which started on the 5th August. Join the official Discord and visit the Steam store page to request access to the closed beta and begin your journey amongst the enchanted dunes of Elmyr’s arcane desert.
Vanaris Tactics Available now on PC
Vanaris Tactics is finally released on PC. The Final Fantasy Tactics-esque is ready to warm welcome players in the world of Vanaris to take the role of some refugees fighting for their freedom. I started playing it and below you can find my First Look Gameplay Video.
Sci-Fi Western Hard West 2 launched on PC
The most anticipated western Turn-Based RPG from Ice Code Games, Hard West 2 is available now on PC through Steam. Very well received with Very Positive rating on Steam, the game brings players into a sci-fi western world to fight supernatural demons. Not played it yet, but you can expect a Gameplay Video soon.
