Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., announced today that BATEN KAITOS™ Ⅰ & Ⅱ HD REMASTER, a collection of both BATEN KAITOS™ games originally released on the Nintendo GameCube, will be released on Nintendo Switch in the summer of 2023. This remastered collection offers players the chance to rediscover or experience the emotional journeys of the BATEN KAITOS series, which features unique card-based RPG systems that require quick thinking and decision-making. Players will take on the role of a Guardian Spirit, guiding the protagonist and their companions through their journey.
In BATEN KAITOS: ETERNAL WINGS AND THE LOST OCEAN, players follow the story of Kalas, who, seeking revenge for the death of his brother and grandfather, meets Xelha as they embark on a journey to defeat the Alfard Empire.
BATEN KAITOS ORIGINS takes place 20 years before the events of the first game and tells the story of Sagi, a spiriter who has a connection with Guardian Spirits and is part of the Dark Service, an elite unit of the Alfard Empire. After being framed, Sagi sets out to clear his name and uncover the empire’s secrets.
