About The Game

Little Frontier is a story-driven Western tactical RPG set in 1836, as the American fur trade enters its final years. The story follows three mountain men: Bruce, a seasoned trapper; Jack, a voyageur carrying an old grudge; and Yellow Feather, a skilled hunter at home in the wilderness. Their journey crosses open plains, forts, and trading posts while settlers and landowners gradually transform the landscape. Conversations and decisions affect how events unfold, with multiple endings planned. Exploration takes place in real time, whether the party travels on foot, horseback, or by canoe. Hunting, camping, and meeting other inhabitants of the frontier provide activities between battles. When encounters turn hostile, the game switches to tactical turn-based combat, giving you time to consider each move and how the three companions respond. The developer has not yet outlined all the finer details of the battle system. Developed by solo creator Vedad, Little Frontier focuses on a small cast and the tension between an untamed landscape and a changing society. It is targeting a Q1 2027 release for Windows and macOS. A separate demo is listed on Steam but is not yet available.
