About The Game

The Land Beneath Us is a turn-based roguelite dungeon crawler developed by FairPlay Studios. It follows the Ultimate Soul Harvester, a machine sent into Annwn, an underworld drawn from Welsh mythology. Combat takes place in compact levels where movement and positioning determine the available attacks. Players can assign weapons to different slots and develop customizable movement sequences that activate combo abilities. Planning a route through a room therefore affects both survival and damage, particularly when several enemies occupy nearby spaces. The arsenal includes axes, spears, and firearms, supporting different approaches to encounters. Souls collected from defeated enemies improve stats and abilities, while progression choices can emphasize direct weapon attacks or combinations that strike from a distance. Encounters with other characters provide opportunities to learn about the underworld, trade, or fight. The Land Beneath Us launched on May 13, 2024, for Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A Steam demo is available.
