Backpack Spider is one of two pets that Kanna will ask you to choose from in WitchSpring R. The other being the Dwarf Golem which you can get by returning back to Kanna after a while. This pet is arguably the strongest damage dealer in the game. Don’t let the low scaling numbers fool you, the fact that it can hit enemies 3 to 6 times per attack makes it a deadly companion. Aside from that, it’s also a golem type which means it’s upgradeable through Fuselage Improvements in Matt’s House.

About Backpack Spider

Overview

An early example of Kanna’s magic-powered designs. It wears a backpack equipped with three missiles and follows after its master. The power of the missiles is proportional to the magic powering it.

One of the pinnacle of damage in this game, the Backpack Spider dishes out terrifyingly incredible damage that even rivals that of Pieberry’s. Simply put, this pet is BS, especially when you’re running a MAG build. But even when you’re not, it’s still a worthwhile companion to summon during combat. Oh, and that its status even before you refine it with Fuselage Improvements.

Use Case

Being one of the pets that deals the most damage in the game, Backpack Spider should always be summoned in any fight where you need some additional damage for backup. Because of the damage this pet dishes out, it’s going to be overkill to use it for mobs when grinding for materials. And if you’re looking to create the ultimate damage dishing monster, upgrade this pet’s fuselage exclusively. It’s just too good to not be part of your main party.
