The DLC brings new Mega Digivolution routes and a Hiroko Sagisaka-focused questline as the RPG passes 1M sold.
Bandai Namco has revealed the second Season Pass drop for Digimon Story Time Stranger, with Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: GAKU-RAN slated to launch in January 2026. The publisher also says the RPG has now passed 1 million units sold, setting this as the first big post-milestone content beat for the game.
Pack 2 is built around new Digivolution routes for five Mega Digimon and a new story episode focused on Hiroko Sagisaka. Bandai Namco has named BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, and BanchoMamemon as part of the incoming Mega set, but it hasn’t publicly listed the fifth route yet beyond the “five Mega Digimon” count. A teaser trailer for the DLC is out now.
This is also the clearest look yet at how Time Stranger wants DLC to slot into its progression loop. The paid Season Pass is structured as three “Additional Digimon & Episode” packs, and each one follows the same template: five Mega Digivolution additions plus an episode.
The Steam listing also notes that all Season Pass content is planned for distribution by September 30, 2026, which effectively puts a latest-possible window on Pack 3 if Bandai Namco sticks to that schedule.
Pack 1 is already live, and it set expectations for what “episode” means in practice: a short questline built around a specific Digimon problem (Pack 1’s episode involves Parallelmon and pulls you into an extradimensional space, with BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon as part of the hook).
If Pack 2 follows the same shape, the Hiroko-focused episode should land as a contained narrative detour that still gives you reasons to revisit your team builds and farm up whatever the new branches require.
For anyone coming in cold, Digimon Story Time Stranger is a monster-taming JRPG with turn-based combat and a heavy emphasis on party construction through evolution planning.
The game leans into two big pillars: traveling between the human world and the Digital World: Iliad, and a story that plays with time jumps and parallel worlds, starting with a secret-organization agent in Tokyo caught up in a city-leveling explosion before reawakening eight years earlier.
450+ Digimon, “deep customization,” and a battle setup pitched as more strategic and more mechanically evolved than earlier entries.
As for access, nothing about Pack 2 changes the basics: you’ll need the base game and then the DLC through the Season Pass, a separate purchase, or by owning an edition that includes Season Pass content. Digimon Story Time Stranger is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and Bandai Namco’s announcement only narrows Pack 2 down to January 2026 without a specific day yet.
