May is a great month for subscribers to Humble’s now-famous subscription service, and turn-based game fans have two gems they won’t want to miss.
For anyone unfamiliar with Humble Choice, it’s basically a monthly subscription that lets you pick up a selection of high-quality games each month, not throwaway filler, for $15. Plus, by keeping your subscription active month after month, you unlock dedicated discounts on purchases from the Humble Store.
The latest month of Humble Choice (May 2026) offers eight additional PC games, plus a month of IGN Plus, along with some selections that will surely grab the interest of RPG, tactics, and strategy enthusiasts.

This year’s may bundle is particularly heavy for those interested in RPGs, strategy games, and roguelites. In addition to Diablo IV, Heroes of Hammerwatch II, Crysis 3 Remastered, Shin Megami Tensei v: vengeance, Rogue Waters, Mini Settlers, Cubic Odyssey, and Nordhold are included in this month’s Humble Choice bundle.
Obviously, we must be excited for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The expanded edition of SMT V allows players to explore a ravaged Tokyo as part of a battle between angels and demons; SMT V focuses heavily on turn-based combat as well as on recruiting and building parties and making route-based decisions.
The type of gameplay found in SMT V includes weakness targeting, demon fusions, resistance coverage, and inheriting skills in order to affect the outcome of battles. Players who did not acquire the base version at launch are now likely to find the best reason to take advantage of this month’s bundle.
Although the bundle’s biggest name is Diablo IV, there is a significant detail about it that players should be aware of before acquiring it. Although Diablo IV is accessible via Battle.net, instead of via Steam, the Humble Bundle version of Diablo IV does allow players to play Diablo IV using the Battle.net client.
Therefore, anyone who prefers to maintain their entire gaming library within their Steam account should be aware of this prior to redeeming the free copy. In terms of its gameplay loop, Diablo IV is very much based upon the same classic ARPG loop (class builds/loose drops/dungeons/open world events/sessions)
However, the second game that regards us is Rogue Waters, a pirate-themed tactical roguelite where players control Captain Cutter and his crew as they navigate procedurally-generated missions against both naval combat and melee boarding battles.
Like other roguelites, crew recruitment/upgrades/ships, and sea creatures all impact the run structure of Rogue Waters.
The value equation for Humble Choice members is generally based on how many of these games you want to keep. Humble Choice is not a rental library such as Game Pass. The monthly titles are yours to keep once they have been claimed, regardless of whether your membership has expired. This makes assessing the bundle easier by judging it as a one-month purchase instead of an ongoing subscription.
