The beloved turn-based RPG heads to PC, Switch, and Switch 2 with a revamped standalone version
Another Eden Begins is set to drop sept 17th on Steam (pc), Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. An RPG with a free-to-play business model. Although it started life on mobile platforms, it has since been released on pc.
The game’s story revolves around Aldo and Feinne, who live in Baruoki. However, when Aldo’s sister gets pulled 800 years into the future through some kind of time-space rift, Aldo’s story becomes intertwined with hers.
The other aspect of the series’s time travel element will be preserved here, and while there will likely be some similarities between the two versions of the game, Another Eden Begins appears to have been designed to appeal to a wider audience as a premium experience.
This will include a fully voiced English language version of the main storyline. Another key difference is that the main narrative line is self-contained, so players do not need to worry about having previously played the older one.
In combat, players will use command-based turn-based battle systems, and they will also be able to assign characters into “roles,” which will allow them to create synergies within their party. Additionally, players will be able to build up their “another force” gauge, allowing them to interrupt enemy turns or put out a lot of damage quickly.
In addition to the standard story mode, players will be able to select one of 18 companions they want to bring along and choose either a “character quest” or a “kinship quest”. There is also a new game + feature that allows you to carry your progress over to the next run and access a new route, with well over 10 different endings depending on how you choose to proceed.
