The second installment of the Rise Eterna series, announced not long ago, already has an official release date.
It’s a strategy RPG that, while the first entry didn’t achieve much success, in my opinion, showcased one of the best pixel art styles in the genre.
Set a few years after the events of the first game, the story follows Jacht, an Athracian soldier determined to restore the empire’s lost glory and confront Lua’s Heroes Army. The narrative unfolds against a backdrop of two noble families claiming the throne and a third force plotting revenge, expanding the world and political conflicts introduced in the original.
The game includes around 28 missions across varied locations and biomes. Players can recruit companions, build and organize their party, and customize abilities through over 20 types of gems.
Each character has a skill tree shaped by their background, and terrain effects influence both movement and combat. These features aim to add tactical depth while giving flexibility in party development and strategy.
Developers Forever Entertainment, Makee Games, and Ricci Cedric Design have announced that Rise Eterna 2 will launch on October 9, 2025.
The tactical RPG sequel will be available on PC via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S. A free demo is already on Steam, offering a tutorial and a selection of early missions. Below are more details and the announcement trailer.
