New missions, expanded weapon customization, and Forever War mode are coming, along with changes to Heat and character progression.
Signal Space Lab has confirmed an October 22, 2026 release date for version 1.0 of Every Day We Fight. The tactical RPG will leave Early Access with new mission types, a larger selection of weapons and parts, and Forever War, a mode that continues after the campaign with increasing difficulty.
Every Day We Fight follows three civilians trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion. Its turn-based battles feature manually aimed shooting and reflex actions that let characters respond during enemy turns, while exploration takes place in real time. That mix makes positioning, aim, and reaction timing part of the same tactical encounter.

New Missions Give You More Control Over Heat
Two new mission types, Sabotage and Ambush, let you influence the revised Heat system. Sabotage raises Heat, bringing tougher fights and better loot, while Ambush lowers it. Choosing between them therefore becomes a way to manage pressure across a run, whether you want to pursue more valuable drops or ease the difficulty before pushing further.
Character progression is also being reworked, with rewards after every fight. Exploration remains available, but it will no longer be necessary to keep advancing your characters. That should help maintain the pace for anyone who prefers moving from one tactical battle to the next.

Five New Weapons and 52 New Parts
The new arsenal covers explosive weapons, sustained fire, and additional sidearm options:
- Boomer: An explosive launcher.
- Shredder: A heavy machine gun whose accuracy improves the longer you keep firing.
- Roaster: A flamethrower that sets targets and surroundings alight.
- Stumper: A shotgun sidearm.
- Riptide: A fully automatic pistol sidearm.
There are also 52 new weapon parts, including 13 epic parts with unique perks. One example rewards three consecutive headshots by making the next bullet damage the surrounding area. Perks like that could encourage different firing habits when putting together a weapon setup, giving accurate sequences of shots an additional payoff.
Forever War Extends the Fight Beyond the Campaign
Finishing the campaign unlocks Forever War, where you can keep clearing zones and taking on bosses as difficulty permanently increases. You can keep your existing equipment or reset to level 1 with only a dart gun and a teleporter, depending on how you want to approach the challenge.

The update also reshuffles combat zones between runs, with increased level variety and more extensive content randomization. For a game that repeatedly sends its characters through a time loop, those changes should help make return trips less predictable.
Version 1.0 follows an Early Access period that has already brought additional difficulty options, manual and in-combat saves, fast travel, click-to-move controls, Hall of Fame, and Iron Man Mode. Signal Space Lab also points to improvements in the interface, performance, balance, and pacing made during that time.
Every Day We Fight is currently available in Early Access on Steam, with its full release scheduled for October 22, 2026.
