With its highly anticipated Early Access launch set for later this year, the digital adaptation of Frosthaven is ramping up the excitement for its tactical, character-driven RPG experience. Developed by Snapshot Games (Phoenix Point) and published by Arc Games, this dark fantasy sequel to the critically acclaimed Gloomhaven has unveiled a new Character Spotlight trailer series, starting with the Banner Spear.
Fresh from its successful Steam Next Fest demo, which earned a spot among the platform’s 50 Most-Played demos, Frosthaven aims to give players a closer look at its roster of playable characters.
The first trailer shines a light on the Banner Spear, a tireless fighter adept at making precise, coordinated attacks and leading the charge in battle. The character is built for tactical dominance, rewarding players who can position units and utilize teamwork to overwhelm foes.
More character spotlights are promised in the weeks and months to come, covering the rest of the starting roster, including the Boneshaper, Drifter, Geminate, Blinkblade, and Deathwalker.
These character-focused videos will help future players understand the distinct roles and playstyles available within the game, making it easier to find a hero that suits their tactical approach. As the campaign unfolds, new characters can also be unlocked.
Based on the popular Frosthaven tabletop game by Isaac Childres, this digital adaptation promises to deliver a rich, challenging experience for both solo and multiplayer sessions. FrostHaven will probably arrive by the end of the year on PC via Steam, below the spotlight trailer.
