The launch update completes the cyberpunk RPG’s campaign with five storylines and nine endings while adding achievements, new weapons, expanded modding tools, and a broad balance overhaul.
Developer Magnum Scriptum has released version 1.0 of Quasimorph, bringing the unforgiving turn-based extraction RPG out of Early Access nearly three years after its initial Steam debut. The full release is available exclusively on PC and is accompanied by a 33% launch discount, reducing the European price from €24.99 to €16.74 until August 14, 2026.

Set in a future where corporations have extended their influence across the Solar System, Quasimorph places players in command of a private military company.
Mercenaries are deployed on contracts involving corporate facilities, abandoned stations, and locations affected by a supernatural threat. Successful operatives can extract with recovered weapons, equipment, and resources, while death results in the loss of everything carried into the mission.
Fallen soldiers can be replaced with newly printed clones, allowing the company to continue operating even after a disastrous deployment.
Five Storylines and Nine Possible Endings
Version 1.0 gives Quasimorph’s main campaign a complete narrative structure. The finished game contains five storylines centered on Civil Resistance, Tezctlan, Xiomara, AnCom, and RealWare, with nine endings and individual epilogues capable of concluding the player’s PMC campaign.
The new RealWare and AnCom storylines each introduce two endings, joining the narrative routes developed throughout Early Access.

The update also expands the game’s systemic side considerably. Steam Achievements have been added alongside a map editor for creating custom map packs and an in-game mod manager for controlling load order, enabling or disabling modifications, and identifying potential conflicts between map packs.
A new Pact Department aboard the Magnum allows lower-level Pacts to be exchanged for more valuable alternatives, including some that cannot normally be obtained from defeated Barons.
Trading has also been revised through a reworked Trade Shuttle. Players can now use it to barter for specific categories of goods, sell equipment to improve corporate reputation, or arrange cargo transportation from stations controlled by proxy companies. The Pact system has grown to 142 options, 70 of which are tied to rites, giving players additional ways to shape character abilities and mission strategies.
Combat receives another substantial expansion through 29 new firearms, two composite damage types, deployable cover, gas grenades, and updated environmental interactions. Fire, liquids, and gases can now affect one another, while throwable weapons have been separated from conventional grenades. Knives, saws, nails, bottles, and other objects can be thrown using relevant melee bonuses, although they may break on impact.

These additions arrive alongside a wider rebalance affecting weapons, armor, medicine, wounds, crafting, mission difficulty, item prices, and character upgrades.
Firearms have been adjusted to provide clearer tactical roles, while injuries now behave differently depending on whether they affect human, cybernetic, or Quasimorphic body parts. Upgrade costs have been reduced at higher levels, though the bonuses provided by each level have also been recalculated. Several controller, inventory, interface, localization, and performance improvements are included as well.
Existing Early Access Saves May Not Work
Players returning from the standard Early Access branch should note that their existing saves are not compatible with version 1.0. Saves created while playing the Unstable Beta branch remain supported, but anyone who stayed on the default build will need to begin a new campaign after installing the full release.
Alongside the base game, Magnum Scriptum is offering a Supporter Pack containing a unique Magnum appearance, the digital soundtrack, high-resolution artwork, and three earlier versions of Quasimorph featuring their own missions and narrative material.
The studio has also confirmed that development will continue after launch, beginning with hotfixes and balance updates during the third quarter of 2026. A larger update introducing a Bestiary and additional quality-of-life changes is planned for the fourth quarter, followed by new mechanics and a story-focused DLC sometime in 2027. Below is the release trailer, and here is the Steam Page of the game.
