HeroCraft PC and Battlecruiser Games have officially released Guards II: Chaos in Hell, a turn-based tactics game that pairs strategic simplicity with devilish complexity. It’s out now on Steam, and to mark the occasion, a new trailer dropped showcasing the game’s occult flair, pulpy fantasy tone, and tight tactical gameplay.

At its core, Guards II is built around a single mechanic: swap two heroes per turn. That’s it. Once you’ve made your move, your squad springs into action, attacking, healing, and unleashing devastating abilities. The gameplay is quick, stylish, and deeply satisfying, offering tactical depth that rewards careful planning and bold execution.
Players will descend through five culturally distinct circles of Hell, confronting demonic hordes while customizing their party with branching upgrade trees, magical artifacts, and skill synergies. Each of the eight heroes comes with two stances, unique abilities, and a powerful ultimate attack.

At launch, the game includes:
- 80 handcrafted levels spread across five myth-inspired biomes
- 8 playable heroes with distinct roles and flexible playstyles
- A branching upgrade system for deep party customization
- Magical items and passive skills to enhance strategy
- 4 difficulty modes, including the punishing “Hell Mode”
Guards II: Chaos in Hell is available now on PC via Steam for $15.99 with a 10% launch discount. Below is the new trailer.
