The developers of Forgotten but Unbroken send Team Alpha after a cartel attorney preparing to flee to Mexico.
Maybe it’s age, maybe it’s something else, but for those of us who have been playing games for a long time, all it takes is a reference to a great classic from the past, one we experienced in our younger years, to send the hype through the roof.
All of this is to say that one of the games I’ve been most curious about, and have been following for quite a while because it’s clearly inspired by the legendary Jagged Alliance 2, released a playable demo just a few hours ago. So yes, this is pretty big news.

Ghost Justice now has a free playable demo on Steam, with two missions set in Miami in 1992. Developed by Centurion Developments, the studio behind Forgotten but Unbroken, the turn-based tactical strategy game follows an elite task force fighting drug cartels through carefully planned operations.
Two Missions Against the Cartel
The demo puts you in charge of Team Alpha, initially sent to support a police raid that has turned into a firefight. Officers have stumbled onto a cartel hideout, and the evidence recovered during the operation points toward a much larger case.

The second mission picks up with a corrupt attorney attempting to escape to Mexico. Armed guards stand between Alpha and its target, and the objective is to get through that protection and bring the lawyer in before he leaves.
Planning the Operation
Ghost Justice lets you coordinate multiple teams across the battlefield. Gathering intelligence and studying enemy positions help determine where to move, when to set an ambush, and how different groups can support one another.
Stealth also gives operatives a way to follow enemy movements and reach objectives without immediately alerting the opposition.

Specialized roles include spotters and snipers, who can work together to identify and eliminate high-value targets from a distance.
The full game also involves recruiting and equipping operatives, developing their capabilities, and managing resources between increasingly dangerous assignments. The game spans urban districts, remote settlements, and jungle environments.
The free demo can be downloaded from the game’s Steam page and will remain available throughout Steam Next Fest, running October 19–26, 2026. Ghost Justice is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in Q1 2027.
