Lead a troubled mercenary squad across corrupted battlefields when hhyuGame’s turn-based RPG arrives on PC in late 2026.
Independent developer hhyuGame has unveiled Blightmarch, a single-player tactical RPG set against the backdrop of a brutal war slowly being consumed by supernatural corruption. The game is currently in development for PC and is scheduled to launch through Steam in Q4 2026.
Players will command a mercenary squad sent into a front line tainted by the Abyss. Battles unfold through a turn-based tactical system in which weapons, terrain, and coordination between party members all play an important role.
Commanders can also draw upon forbidden Abyssal powers, although embracing these abilities may gradually push the group away from its humanity.
The opposition includes elite soldiers serving the Allied Races, uncontrolled human forces, mutated creatures, and other horrors created by the spreading corruption.
Blightmarch places considerable emphasis on difficult decisions, presenting situations in which securing a conventional victory may not yield the best outcome. The store page describes a world in which every major faction, including the Human Expeditionary Coalition, the Allied Races, and the ruling elite, has its own interests, crimes, and carefully maintained lies.
The squad itself will be composed of companions carrying personal scars and dangerous obsessions. Among those introduced so far are Valerie, a violent but fiercely protective survivor of the Iron Banner’s former order, and Sera, an exiled absolver who has become emotionally dependent on the player’s leadership.
Decisions made throughout the campaign will influence these characters and their relationships with the protagonist, while the companions may also affect the player’s own path.
With its grim atmosphere, morally compromised factions, hex-based encounters, and decision-driven narrative, Blightmarch appears to be aiming for more than a straightforward series of tactical battles. The game is planned for release on Windows PC during the final quarter of 2026 and can already be added to a Steam wishlist.
