Players can already try Eastwynne through its Steam demo, which introduces its isometric perspective, magic system, and branching story paths.
Eastwynne is an upcoming isometric CRPG with visual novel components located in a modern fantasy world, ready to debut on Kickstarter. In this world, magic is viewed as normal and everyday.

The game takes place in Eastwynne City, the largest and most powerful city in the Commonwealth of Magic. It follows a group of magical university students beginning their freshman year of school in 2021.
Choices made by players impact the direction of the storyline, what information may be gained, what can be accomplished, and what relationships the player develops. Additionally, according to Steam, these choices extend past conversation options; discovery of new things and the way they occur impacts each individual experience.

Two playable protagonists (Ester and Sye) create the central focal point of the game. Both characters navigate the same environment from different viewpoints suggesting replaying the story with the opposing lead will not only allow the player to switch party members but change how players experience the city and its inhabitants.
The game emphasizes relationship-building with the player’s companions and other characters developing as either allies, friends, love interests, or enemies through player action.
Eastwynne combines turn-based combat, exploration, skills development, dice checks, and magical specializations.

Steam references a spell/ability acquisition mechanism allowing players to use learned spells/abilities in both battle and exploration environments.
Strengths, Weaknesses, Counters, and Specialization Paths appear to influence player-character development. Additionally, there are adjustable difficulty levels included in the game, which allow players to decrease the challenges associated with dice rolls/battles and receive hints for wide choices.
Although there is no announcement date for when the final product will be ready for purchase, a playable demo is currently available on Steam. A significant number of changes have been implemented into the demo after it was first launched.

According to the official Eastwynne website, the V2.0 update added many features such as an isometric view, a starting quest line, Ester as a playable character, the first explorable area, a basic form of magic and early forms of relationship/personality systems.
In addition to its own development by WTS₂, Eastwynne is being distributed by DaBest Entertainment. The project also plans to start a Kickstarter campaign on April 14th, 2026. At this time, access to the demo remains open to allow interested parties to preview aspects of gameplay mechanics, systems, and tone of Eastwynne.
Currently, Steam is listing the project for release in 2026. There will be a pre-release Early Access version prior to the full completion of the game. Below is the announcement trailer.
