The Cold Steel games themselves are part of the Trails subgenre of The Legend of Heroes games. I know it all sounds really confusing. So - we have The Legend of Heroes main series. Within it, there are multiple subseries. Within these subseries, however, there are even more subseries. Cold Steel is one of those. It's like Inception: a series, within a series, within a series RPG style.

Time for some truth; I've never played a Pokémon game until now. Okay, I lie, I played maybe 30 minutes of one of those on Game Boy Color - but that was it. When it comes to horror in video games, everyone thinks of the same few titles. There's something about that intensity - of having to react quickly, while being hunted - that sadly just can not be replicated using the more tactical/turn-based approach.
