I’m kicking off this new week, and especially Monday, with something that might give you a bit of enjoyment and relief if you’re staring down the intimidating wall of the week ahead. If your life is already pretty much perfect as it is, then these 20 RPGs currently on deep discount might just be the cherry on top.
Sometimes the best way to find a new game is just to look at what’s on sale! Whether it’s that cool RPG you’ve been waiting to get discounted for ages, or a game you hadn’t heard of until it was 75% off, Steam always has enticing offers to tempt us with.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

The annual Festival of Skulls event features lots of discounts on Warhammer games, and there’s no better RPG for immersing yourself in the grim darkness of the far future than Rogue Trader. This massive epic has it all – intrigue, betrayal, firefights, space battles – all wrapped in deep lore and gameplay systems that make it a must-play for Warhammer and RPG fans alike.
Rogue Trader is 60% off on Steam until 28 May, taking its price from $49.99 to $19.99 during that time. The Voidfarer and Deluxe Editions have even deeper discounts, letting you save more by bundling additional content in with your purchase.
Spirited Thief

This pixelated tactical puzzler offers a campaign full of fun, brain-bending heists. The incorporeal ghost Trin can scout ahead, while the mortal thief Elaj follows up to get the loot and interact with the environment; you’ll need to get the two working in perfect sync to avoid getting caught and escape with the most treasure!
Spirited Thief is just $1.49 on Steam until 5 June, a massive 90% discount off its usual price of $14.99. You might even call this sale… a steal. The game is also offered as part of a few different bundles, but it’s really hard to argue with the solo price.
Darkest Dungeon II

Darkest Dungeon II has not one but two game modes; in Confessions, you’ll take a party of four hapless heroes on a desperate quest to keep the last flame alive in a benighted world. In Kingdoms, your task is to keep your whole realm from crumbling. Both bring Darkest Dungeon‘s themes of decay and regret to life with tough decisions and challenging combat, all with the series’ signature narration.
If you’ve been holding off on the sequel, now is a great time to try it; Darkest Dungeon II is 75% off on Steam until 1 June, reducing its price from $39.99 to just $7.99.
The Resolute Edition, which includes all the DLC and the soundtrack, is 58% off during the same period, dropping from $59.95 to $24.95. If you’re completely new to the series, you can get the Iron Crown bundle, which includes the basic editions of both Darkest Dungeon games, at 75% off
WitchSpring R

If you’re in the mood for a cute and cozy RPG, WitchSpring R lets you train a young witch and accompany her on her adventures. With its blend of crafting, simulation, and RPG gameplay, there’s plenty of fun to be had in WitchSpring‘s chibi fairytale world.
Steam has WitchSpring R discounted to $17.49 until 31 May, a savings of 50% off its regular price of $34.99. All of the DLC, which includes the soundtrack and several costumes for protagonist Pieberry, is also 50% off during the sale.
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 – The Dead King’s Secret

The first Dungeons of Dreadrock game is 88% off, priced at a meager 71 cents, or you can get the two as a bundle for just $6.71 while the sale lasts.
Ash of Gods: Redemption

If you’re looking for some Game of Thrones-level grit with some solid animation, Ash of Gods: Redemption is an SRPG with card game aspects where the story truly adapts to your choices.
Absolutely anybody, including the main characters, can die, and the game will carry on without them; their presence or absence will have a role in how events play out.
Ash of Gods: Redemption is on sale for 80% off on Steam, taking its price from $24.99 down to just $4.99, while the Digital Deluxe edition which includes the soundtrack and artbook is $5.24. Both deals only last until 25 May, so act fast if you’re looking to start this bloody adventure at a great price.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters

Back to the Festival of Skulls, if Rogue Trader is the Baldur’s Gate of Warhammer, then Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters is the franchise’s XCOM.
As the famed Grey Knights, you’re in charge of defending an entire sector from the Daemons of Nurgle, choosing which planets to defend and which ones to sacrifice as you deploy your marines in gripping tactical battles.
Chaos Gate is at its lowest price right now, just $4.49 on Steam until 4 June. That’s an unbelievable 90% off its standard price of $44.99, or you can get the Castellan Champion Edition with a bonus character for $5.49. The Grand Master Edition, which has all the DLC, is 79% off at $16.84, or you can get the DLC packs individually at $5.99 each, a 60% savings.
The Temple of Elemental Evil

The Temple of Elemental Evil is an iconic D&D campaign, famously turned into a PC RPG in 2003.
Last year’s remaster faithfully brought the turn-of-the-millennium classic back for a new generation with plenty of quality-of-life upgrades; whether you’re a new fan or a longtime veteran of fantasy adventures, this is definitely one to delve into.
Normally priced at $9.99, The Temple of Elemental Evil is a pretty fair deal; it’s more than 20 years old, after all. However, Steam has it discounted 33% to just $6.69 until 5 June, making the game all the more enticing. You can also get it as part of several D&D-themed bundles, aimed at bringing back the magic of the old days.
Tyrant’s Blessing

This turn-based tactical roguelite places just as much emphasis on picking your battles as it does on winning them. With only a handful of heroes against the Tyrant and his massive undead army, you can’t afford to take unnecessary risks; you’re essentially waging fantasy guerilla warfare in a bright, colorful pixelated world.
Normally $19.99, Tyrant’s Blessing is just $3.99 on Steam until 31 May, a discount of 80%. The Deluxe Edition, which includes the soundtrack, is 69% off at $6.96, and the game is also a part of several bundles.
Showgunners

Showgunners has action-packed tactical combat on handcrafted maps positively littered with traps and hazards, so if you’re looking for something truly over-the-top, this is your game.
As contestants on a deadly televised arena battle, the fight is purely for entertainment… and the director will help or hinder your crew however he thinks it will improve the show’s ratings.
You can get Showgunners on Steam for just $8.99 until 24 May, saving 70% off its usual price of $29.99. The discount applies to the Deluxe Edition as well, letting you add the soundtrack, artbook, and bonus costume all for a grand total of $12.87.
Forgotten Mines

Front Mission 2: Remake

The Front Mission series offers a deep, richly-imagined futuristic world at war, and drops you onto battlefields full of giant mechs to fight for the fate of the planet. Each game is its own self-contained story, all coming together to build the world’s complete history.
The Front Mission Remakes are a great way to get into the long-running series, and all three are discounted on Steam until 25 May.
The best bang for your buck is probably the second game, which puts your team in a dangerous mission to escape enemy territory; at 66% off, you can get it for $11.89 rather than the usual $34.99. Of course, you can also get the whole trilogy bundled together for $28.26, saving 50% off the grand total!
Coromon

Coromon is an extremely solid monster collector with a classic feel and lots of modern flourishes.
From time-honored traditions like type matchups and exploration to customizeable difficulty settings including built-in randomizer and Nuzlocke modes, it’s a great pick for fans who want to try something that’s both familiar and different.
Now is a great time to give Coromon a try on Steam, where it’s just $4.99 until 31 May. That’s 75% off its $19.99 price tag, and you can also get it bundles with other turn-based favorites like LunarLux.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Enhanced Edition

Owlcat has been making impressive CRPGs for a while now, so if you’re a fan of Rogue Trader you should definitely check out their earlier offerings, particularly the fantasy adventure Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
Based on the tabletop campaign of the same name, it offers even more versatility in building the character that you want to play than their Warhammer magnum opus, with decisions that range far beyond the core struggle between good and evil.
Wrath of the Rightous is 70% off on Steam until 29 May, knocking its price down from $19.99 to $5.99. It’s also a great chance to pick up the Game of the Year Edition, which includes all the DLC; discounted 70% as well, the whole thing is just $14.99 rather than $49.99.
Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga

Symphony of War‘s excellent pixel art brings its classic Fire Emblem-style battles to life with a twist. Rather than just individual heroes, each unit is a customizable squad whose capabilities are determined by the leader and the composition of the troops they command.
It’s an extra layer of strategy that makes building and leading your army one of the most satisfying challenges to be found in an SRPG.
You can get Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga at 65% off on Steam until 31 May, scoring this gripping war story for $6.99 rather than its usual $19.99. The Deluxe and Collector’s Editions are also on sale, and the game is offered as part of several bundles – including with another excellent indie SRPG, Dark Deity.
Echo Generation: Midnight Edition

This Stranger Things-inspired RPG is full of ’90s nostalgia as you lead a gang of kids through their quiet small town, uncovering the horrifying supernatural terrors that lurk in the shadows. Equal parts cute and creepy, it offers minigames, mysteries, and even customizable pets in its detailed voxel world.
Steam has Echo Generation listed at $12.49 until 3 June, taking 50% off its standard price of $24.99. You can also get it bundled with the other two games in the “Coco Voxel Trilogy,” Riverbond and Ravenlok, for $56.22, saving 17% on the total price, during the sale.
Sunderfolk

Sunderfolk seeks to reinvent co-op RPGs; you can play the old-fashioned way on mouse and keyboard, or gather on the couch with everyone using their phones as controllers! However you choose to adventure, the game offers some rock-solid tactical challenges for up to four players to test their mettle with.
The first four missions are available as a free trial, and until 25 May the full game is available for a demo period. After that, you can buy it for 60% off until 4 June, getting the whole adventure for $19.99 rather than $49.99.
There are also some bundles available with Sunderfolk in them, so if you’re looking for other multiplayer games to try, you can get it with Gloomhaven or For The King II, among others.
Dungeons of Aether

This dungeon crawler offers a dice-drafting combat system to keep battles fresh and some high-quality pixel animations that bring its anthropomorphic fantasy world to life.
With four heroes to try, plus a roguelike Challenge Mode to test your skills after you’ve finished Story Mode, there will be plenty of reason to keep coming back for one more run.
Dungeons of Aether has a free demo on Steam, and until 4 June the full game is 50% off, down from $14.99 to $7.49. It’s also available in a couple of different bundles, including one with the other Aether games, letting you explore more of the universe in different types of gameplay!
ATOM RPG 2-in-1 Edition Bundle
