LAVABIRD’s turn-based tactics battler Warside is gearing up for a major evolution. The team has officially revealed a content roadmap leading up to the long-awaited co-op campaign in Version 2.0. The first step? Version 1.1, which lands at the end of this week.

The V1.1 update introduces several key features: skirmish missions, custom player-created maps, a new Commander dossier system, and essential localization fixes. Updates are set to follow every two weeks, steadily laying the groundwork for major overhauls.
Version 1.2 will refine existing systems, with a new map rating system, an AI overhaul, and tougher rebalancing of the “Brutal” campaign difficulty. Version 1.3 adds Steam Achievements, a public custom map server, UI upgrades, and multiplayer Fog of War—bringing deeper challenge and polish for competitive play.
The capstone: Version 2.0. This is when the long-teased co-op campaign arrives, alongside new solo campaign missions, expanding the game’s already hefty 30+ mission single-player experience.

Originally launched on Steam, Warside is a spiritual successor to classic wargames, featuring intuitive turn-based tactics, cross-domain combat (land, air, sea), and a roster of 14 unique Commanders with powerful abilities. Players can dive into intense PvP and co-op multiplayer, or flex their creativity with a built-in mission editor. The game is also preparing for a multi-platform push, with releases planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox later this year.
