Board games have long been a staple of entertainment for over a millennia. Despite its ancient status, board games have been able to transition to every new era its gone through. Even being able to adapt to the era of video games. Roguelites on the other hand, have been around for over three decades. It’s rise in popularity however, only started a few years back. Developers of Timeless Toucan mixes these two concepts to create something entirely brand new with Azoove.
Azoove is a cooperative card game roguelite. In this digital board game, players will have to endure a journey to the fountain city of Miz’rak. Your quest? To seal a cursed book at the Grand Gallery and save your village from the fiend Ur’gan’s curse. The game has players manage resources and cooperate with other players to survive the journey and return the cursed book to the library.
Timeless Toucan also recently announced that the game will debut a playable demo on February’s Steam Next Fest. So make sure to Wishlist the game on Steam if you’re interested. Azoove is planned for release some time for PC around March 2024.
