Publisher PLAYISM and developer Al Fine have confirmed that Chrono Ark Deluxe Edition will release for Nintendo Switch on January 29, 2026.
The title, which blends deckbuilding and roguelite mechanics with RPG storytelling, is already available on PC via Steam, where it first launched in Early Access in 2019 before reaching full release in May 2024.
The Switch version introduces improved text display across all supported languages and bundles all previously released downloadable content. In Japan, the game will also be offered as a physical edition priced at 5,500 yen, with first-print copies including a 70-page art book.
Chrono Ark follows Lucy, a protagonist who awakens in a land shrouded in mist with only a single memory: “Activate the Clock Tower.”
Players recruit companions, each with distinct personalities and skills, to build synergistic decks that define the flow of battle. Unlike traditional RPGs, defeat resets progress but unlocks new characters and abilities, encouraging experimentation with different strategies.
Set in a world where survivors live aboard the Ark, the narrative unfolds with each run as Lucy and her allies search for the Time Shades to restore peace. The combination of card-based combat, roguelike progression, and evolving story has made the game stand out in the genre.
A new trailer accompanied the announcement, showcasing the upcoming Switch release and offering a glimpse at the improved edition.
