Whispers of the Eyeless leaves Early Access on March 17, 2026, bringing its full 1.0 release to PC via Steam and GOG. Evil Gingerbread Studio develops it with Venris, and Anshar Publishing handles publishing.

It is a dark strategy RPG built around two pressures that never really let up. One is control. The other is cost.
Players step into the role of a prophet, build a cult, then push deeper into Aranthor while trying to hold onto sanity. Combat runs on turns where every fight pays out influence and resources when it goes well, but it still leaves marks on health and mind, which matters once the next decision lands.

The 1.0 jump focuses on finishing the narrative arc and widening the campaign layer around it. The story campaign expands with the Prologue, Act 2, and an Epilogue, plus new main quests, new outcomes for those quests, side quests, and fresh dilemma events that trigger off story decisions or the current state of the cult.
The full release adds the High City, brings in new merchants, and adjusts the city map UI to make navigation clearer.

Curators gain special quests after you complete several tasks for them, and winning Tales can now trigger lore text tied to where that fight took place. Even small touches like that help when a game asks you to repeat runs and still care about place and context.
1.0 adds achievements, expands prophet customization, and fully rolls out the ascension mechanic. Sanctum progression gets more structure through curator tasks, plus new lesser artifacts.
God customization ties straight into building strength by boosting the prophet’s health, loot, and sanity based on the god and how much you have customized. Reaching 100 ascension on a god unlocks a pick from four special room upgrades, and completing ascension across all Dead Gods comes with its own reward.
The above and a lot of quality of life improvements will see the light when the full build of Whispers of the Eyeless arrives on March, 17, 2026 on PC via Steam and GOG. Below is the release date trailer.
