Red Hook Studios’ Darkest Dungeon II is set to receive a significant content expansion with the release of its second DLC, Inhuman Bondage, later this year. This update introduces a new playable hero, The Abomination, as well as a fresh mini-region called The Catacombs.

The Abomination, a returning favorite from the original Darkest Dungeon, brings a unique mechanic where he can transform into a monstrous form, offering immense power but with the risk of increasing stress levels. Players can look forward to exclusive trinkets, signature items, and customizable palettes for this hero, alongside a fully voiced backstory with playable flashback encounters.

The Catacombs mini-region will challenge players with its high-risk, high-reward design, featuring a new faction of slime-covered enemies and powerful items. This new region will be accessible in both the existing Confessions mode and a new game mode, Kingdoms, arriving later in 2024.

Kingdoms, a free update, introduces a reimagined gameplay experience where players defend the realm from new enemy factions. The first module, The Hunger of the Beast Clan, will debut alongside the DLC, pitting players against relentless beastmen. Inhuman Bondage is expected to launch by the end of the year.
