Endless Legend II Release Date

Anyone curious about ENDLESS Legend 2 now has another chance to explore Amplitude Studios’ fantasy 4X strategy game without buying into Early Access. A new free demo is available on Steam, and unlike a short festival trial, it will remain downloadable all the way until the game reaches version 1.0 on September 17, 2026.

The demo offers two playable factions: the Last Lords, cursed knights with their own unusual approach to survival and expansion, and the Kin of Sheredyn, a militaristic faction particularly suited to defensive play and fortification. The other major factions can appear as AI-controlled opponents, while players can also encounter all 15 minor factions currently found across Saiadha.

Campaigns in the demo are limited to 90 turns, which should still provide enough room to experiment with empire building, exploration, diplomacy, and the game’s tactical turn-based battles. It also showcases one of the sequel’s defining mechanics: Tidefalls, periodic events that cause Saiadha’s oceans to retreat and expose new land, resources, paths, and potential threats. The changing geography can alter borders and strategic opportunities as a campaign progresses.

ENDLESS Legend 2 builds on the original with highly asymmetric factions, heroes, city development, diplomacy, exploration, and armies that can either resolve battles automatically or be commanded directly in turn-based tactical encounters. Heroes develop new traits and equipment over time, while each faction brings its own economic, military, and strategic rules rather than simply functioning as a variation of the same template.

Endless Legend 2 Overview

The full 1.0 release arrives September 17, 2026, bringing the game out of Early Access on PC while also launching on Xbox Series and PlayStation. Version 1.0 will introduce the Sandshapers as a sixth major playable faction, alongside two Rogue Factions, the Order of Zelevas and The Severed Claw, plus the new minor faction Mangrove of Harmony.

For players who have been watching ENDLESS Legend 2 from the sidelines, the new Steam demo offers a useful opportunity to see how its asymmetric factions, tactical combat, and constantly shifting world work before the September launch.
