ENDLESS Legend 2 Delayed

Amplitude’s new plan keeps the next beats locked through March 2026, with the Steady Tides patch already playable in the Public Test Branch. ENDLESS Legend 2, the fantasy 4X strategy, has been in Early Access on Steam since September 22, 2025.

Endless Legend 2 Roadmap

Amplitude has now published an updated roadmap post that focuses on what is coming next without locking down anything beyond March 2026. The team frames that cutoff as a way to stay flexible, keep reacting to community feedback, and avoid promising details too far out while the Early Access build keeps changing.

The immediate stop is Steady Tides, described as close to release while the team finishes polish work on the militia rework, plus broader balancing. Most of that update is already available through the Public Test Branch on Steam, with Amplitude explicitly pointing players there to try the changes early and report back.

The biggest systemic shift is how victory paths are structured. Victory objectives now get grouped into paths where you complete all objectives in a chosen path, with an example that the Worship path requires population, monuments, and era 6 technologies.

The same preview notes a rebalance pass where the science objective moves to the Impress path, the minor faction condition gets removed, and each path ends up with two mandatory objectives.

Early game pacing is getting a shakeup, too, mainly through tech and district timing. The PTB notes that Laboratory, Forum, and Keep districts move to era 2 as part of an effort to better control early Science and Influence flow, while some district improvements shift earlier to keep era tech counts stable.

Some factions keep signature beats earlier, including Kin keeping the Keep, Tahuks keeping the Laboratory, and Aspects keeping the Forum.

Endless Legend 2 Overview

Looking a little further ahead, the post frames the March update around two features. Custom Factions are planned as a build your own major faction system that mixes traits across existing factions, with the post giving an example of combining Kin of Sheredyn battle affinity with a Last Lords healing perk plus Blackammers population, within limits that will get detailed later.

The second feature is Endless Monsoon, pitched as a late game escalation where a different monsoon kicks in during the final turns, making Saiadha more dangerous.

Beyond that March window, Amplitude lists several requested additions as work in progress, with the order explicitly subject to change. Anomaly Districts aim to let players upgrade anomalies in a way reminiscent of Endless Legend 1, while keeping the existing 3D anomaly presentation.

As a quick look back, the same roadmap post claims roughly 20 updates shipped over the past months and highlights three larger milestones.

Into Battle is framed around unit balance plus the Encirclement combat rule and AI tweaks. Clearing Skies is called out for a less crowded HUD plus Zone of Control in combat and Tahuk adjustments. The Gathering is where multiplayer and game speeds landed, paired with construction flow changes.

All of this lands alongside Amplitude’s Amplified 2026 celebrations for the studio’s 15th anniversary.

That event includes community stretch goals tied to play time across Amplitude games, with rewards that include wallpapers, a playable canon Saiadha map for Endless Legend 2, plus a free DLC for Endless Space 2 in limited stock. ENDLESS Legend 2 is now available in early access on PC via Steam.
