Campfire Cabal has released a new gameplay trailer for Expeditions: Samurai, offering a closer look at the main systems players will encounter when the narrative-driven CRPG enters Steam Early Access on August 7, 2026.
Set during the final years of Japan’s Sengoku period, the game follows a crew caught in a decisive civil war that could reshape the country’s future.
Players will influence the story through their decisions while choosing how to approach dangerous situations. Missions can be handled quietly by sneaking past guards and exploiting the environment, or through direct confrontations built around tactical, turn-based combat.
The trailer also confirms that the campaign will support two-player cooperative play, allowing two players to experience the journey and its battles together. Campfire Cabal plans to publish an Early Access roadmap before launch, detailing the content available on August 7 and the updates scheduled for later development.
Expeditions: Samurai is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
