Nintendo has put a date on the next Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will launch on September 17, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing Intelligent Systems’ tactical RPG series into Nintendo’s new hardware generation.

This new entry moves the series to the Dagdan Empire, a land that has spent 1,500 years under the rule of gods.
The story begins in Dagsion, the empire’s capital, where warriors gather for the Heroic Games. The prize is a single wish granted to the winner, which gives the whole setup a clear Fire Emblem hook. Different fighters arrive with different motives, and that kind of premise usually works well for a series built on personal loyalties, rival factions, and battles where every unit matters.
Fortune’s Weave follows four main characters. Cai is a young boy trying to save his imprisoned father. Dietrich is a swordsman chasing stronger opponents. Theodora is a queen with a dream for her homeland. Leda is a musician looking for revenge.

Fortune’s Weave keeps the tactical RPG foundation that defines the series. Players command units in turn-based battles, read enemy ranges, manage positioning, and build around each character’s role on the map.
Between battles, players can train at the grounds, recruit new allies, and leave Dagsion to gain experience through dungeons and extra fights.
Nintendo also revealed the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Dagdan Collection. The special edition includes the full game, a steel case, an artbook, character art cards, and a map of Dagda. The standard digital edition is listed at $69.99 on the official Nintendo Store, while the Dagdan Collection is listed at $119.99.
