It’s undoubtedly one of the most anticipated titles, both by our community and by all strategy game enthusiasts. Olden Era is shaping up to be the game that aims to revive an epic series like Heroes of Might and Magic.

A few days ago, I put together an article compiling detailed information on what the team at Unfrozen is trying to achieve. You might remember them for their previous title, Iratus. Just recently, a brand-new gameplay trailer dropped, showcasing fresh details about this strategy RPG which is a prequel that explores the untold past of the series.
Set in the mysterious continent of Jadame, players will command legendary heroes, build powerful kingdoms, and engage in tactical battles across a richly detailed fantasy world. The game promises a mix of classic mechanics and modern enhancements, offering both single-player campaigns and a variety of multiplayer modes, including a fast-paced Arena mode.
Featuring six unique factions—including returning favorites like Temple, Necropolis, and Dungeon, alongside new entries such as the insectoid Hive, players can enjoy traditional castle-building, faction-specific abilities, and a revamped combat system on a classic hexagonal battlefield. With a soundtrack composed by Paul Anthony Romero, Cris Velasco, and Heroes Orchestra, the game aims to capture the epic feel of its predecessors while introducing fresh gameplay elements.
Launching in Early Access in Q2 2025, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era seeks to evolve with player feedback, refining its mechanics before its full release. Below the new Gameplay Trailer while on their Steam page you can request access to the arena test mode that will be running until the 28 of March 2025.
