Yulan Songs of Conquest DLC

Lavapotion’s Yulan, an extension of the turn-based strategy game Songs of Conquest, is out today for PC and brings a brand-new playable faction to the table.

Yulan Songs of Conquest

This new DLC will focus primarily upon Yulan’s fragmented landscape and how the three houses of Yulan have to deal with their long-standing rivalry, as well as the emerging threat that they are facing together.

The new faction in this expansion centers around these same three houses: House Li, House Sheng, and House Xuan.

Each house is connected to a particular “Essence” type (Order, Creation or Arcana), which will determine what kind of building you can construct, what types of unit(s) you’ll be able to recruit, and how your armies are composed, allowing for a much greater degree of flexibility in terms of progression structures when compared to previous factions.

In addition to those changes, several troops have branching upgrade paths that allow players to create a force that fits a particular role within their tactics.

In addition to the new faction, there are many other features included in this DLC. These include: nine new Wielders, five additional Conquest maps, new music tracks, new artifacts, and a complete three-map tale focused on House Sheng and the Wielder Shun.

The story follows Yulan through its internal struggles and external threats as it tries to resolve some of the long-standing conflicts that existed before, which were at the top of the list for player-requested items following the releases of Vanir and Roots: more narrative.

Songs of Conquest is available on PC via Steam, where you can also get the new DLC Yulan.
