Crossbros is preparing to crowdfund its tactical JRPG roguelite, Heroes of Anirea, with plans to offer hands-on demos of the game during an event in Spain this summer.
A new gameplay trailer for Spanish developer Crossbros’ upcoming tactical JRPG with roguelite progression and pixel art visuals, Heroes of Anirea was released today.
The video focuses on the updated visuals and interface of the game as well as how players will engage in squad-based battle systems and create strategies based upon their characters. Each hero in the game has a different set of skills and role within combat.
A player builds a party using a variety of heroes; party building, strategic decisions made prior to each run and run planning are all expected to play a major factor in each successful campaign.
Today’s new gameplay trailer is intended to highlight how the game has developed since Crossbros last shared information about it through their devlog, particularly in terms of graphics and user interface.
The launch of today’s trailer also starts Crossbros’ Kickstarter pre-campaign. While the Kickstarter campaign itself isn’t live yet, fans who want to support the project can go to the Kickstarter page and sign up for updates so that they know when the campaign goes live.
Since early backers are crucial to helping build excitement leading into the official campaign kick-off for a small studio like Crossbros, having them onboard from day one is essential.
Crossbros also announced today that Heroes of Anirea will be demoed at two upcoming events in Spain.
The first is CYL Games Show in Zamora on June 6 and 7. Then, the second will be Guadalindie in Málaga on July 3 and 4. At both events, attendees will get to see the gameplay for themselves and interact with the developers.
