Hunter's Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure

Today, I’m highlighting that the prequel to Sovereign Syndicate, arriving as a roguelite deckbuilder and titled Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure, has just debuted with a playable demo a few hours ago.

I announced the title back in July, and developer Crimson Herring Studios, the same team behind the series’ first entry, didn’t waste time letting us get our hands on this new experience, which covers events that take place before those in the CRPG Sovereign Syndicate.

Hunter’s Moon blends narrative investigation with run-based, turn-based combat. You choose from four playable agents, each defined by unique cards and abilities, then tailor your deck as you hunt for the source of a mysterious plague.

Runs feed a roguelite progression loop, money, items, relics, and salvaged materials carry forward to upgrade agents and your airship (the part I’m most interested in), while enchanted tarot cards modify builds and runs.

The full game is targeting a Q4 2025 launch on PC via Steam, with console versions planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. I think it’s a perfect fit for those who loved the first game in the series and those who love roguelite deckbuilder games, below is the announcement trailer.
