Falcom confirms a worldwide launch on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and Steam.
Nihon Falcom has confirmed Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, a full remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, and set it for a Fall 2026 release.

This one picks up directly from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Estelle Bright is back on the road across Liberl, now dealing with Joshua’s disappearance and the wider Ouroboros thread that starts tightening around the kingdom.
Falcom and GungHo are positioning it as a straight continuation, and clear data from the 1st Chapter can carry over, unlocking bonus items meant to smooth early progression.
Falcom is also leaning into combat tweaks that fit a remake cadence. The feature list calls out new Crafts and S-Crafts, plus a Brave Rush mechanic that links character attacks during Quick Battles, which suggests they’re trying to keep moment-to-moment turns snappy even as party options expand.

The orbment system remains central for Arts, so the remake doesn’t sound like it’s trying to reinvent the series’ core math, more like it’s adding fresh routing choices for turn economy, burst damage, and setup turns.
Away from combat, the remake’s pitch includes more side activities and character texture: minigames like fishing and poker, cooking with companions, and “fan-favorite” characters joining the party as playable members.

Falcom is shipping English and Japanese voice-overs on all platforms. Text support includes English, German, French, and Spanish on consoles, while PC adds Japanese text alongside the other languages listed. Gematsu
If the 1st Chapter pulled new players into Liberl, the 2nd Chapter is the one that tests whether they’ll stick around when the story starts making bigger demands, and I’m glad the carry-over feature acknowledges that continuity matters here.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is set for a simultaneous worldwide launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), with GungHo Online Entertainment handling western publishing. Below is the announcement trailer.
