Roguelite deckbuilder RPG digs up a genre-blending experience with fresh content for console players

After a successful run on PC, Knock on the Coffin Lid: Complete Edition is ready to rise again—this time on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Developer RedBoon confirmed the console launch is set for May 21, bringing with it the full base game plus the massive Nightmares of Millenis expansion, all for $34.99.

Knock On The Coffin Lid

At its core, Knock on the Coffin Lid is a rich mix of roguelite deckbuilding, RPG, and a narrative-driven mystery. You awaken inside a coffin in the fantasy land of Midian, with no memory and a fractured world at your feet. From there, it’s up to you to forge a path through political intrigue, war-torn factions, and dangerous choices that ripple across your run.

The game sets itself apart with dynamic turn-based combat, where terrain shifts mid-fight and your custom-built deck determines your next move. Players can collect and equip over 200 items, from enchanted blades to mystical relics, each providing unique powers that feed into different playstyles.

The included Nightmares of Millenis expansion takes everything further. It adds new areas, enemies, and quests, plus a new Tarot system that lets players manipulate fate itself. Knock on the Coffin Lid: Complete Edition releases May 21 on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Below is the console release date trailer.
