Devolver Digital and Artificer have shared a longer look at Minos, the upcoming maze-building roguelite I introduced a while ago on TBL, which puts players in control of the Minotaur.

Revealed during IGN Fan Fest 2026, the new gameplay overview features Artificer’s Kacper Szymczak walking through the game’s core loop, which is built around designing a labyrinth, filling it with traps, and stopping waves of treasure hunters before they reach the heart of the sanctuary.
What makes Minos stand out is the way it blends roguelite structure with maze manipulation. Each run brings new enemies, new traps, and new opportunities to rebuild the labyrinth. Players can drag walls, gates, and corridors into place to shape enemy routes, then link hazards such as spikes, boulders, blades, and fire traps into chained kill setups.
That gives the game a very hands-on tactical layer. It is not just about placing defenses and waiting. It is about controlling space, forcing bad pathing, and setting up trap sequences that punish greedy adventurers the second they think they have found the right route.

Minos does not stay in pure builder mode the whole time. If intruders push too deep into the labyrinth, players may need to take direct control of the Minotaur and finish the job themselves.
The story of the game is tied to the Minotaur, Daedalus, and eventually Theseus, with players making a final choice about who deserves to leave alive.
The release window for Minos is set around Spring 2026 and there’s also a demo available on Steam now.
