Rising Lords have a new challenge on the horizon as developer Argonwood and publisher Deck13 Spotlight unveil The Pilgrim War, the first official DLC expansion for the turn-based strategy game. Launching later this year for Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, the DLC will be priced at €9.99 across all platforms.
This expansion introduces a host of new content, including a fresh faction, a brand-new campaign, additional maps, and—for the first time in Rising Lords—scientific advancements that allow players to specialize their nation even further.
The Lands of Atra
The war-torn lands of Atra are ready for battle. This powerful southern kingdom, known for its disciplined armies and grand cities, has long stood in opposition to the Knights of the North over deep-seated religious disputes. While a fragile peace once allowed pilgrims from both sides to visit the holy city, an unexpected invasion throws the region into chaos. Young prince Matek must defend his principality against overwhelming odds—but he may not stand alone.
With seven new unit types, asymmetric battlefield mechanics, and expanded tactical options, The Pilgrim War shakes up the traditional Rising Lords formula. Players will need to rethink their strategies, leveraging new scientific discoveries to gain advantages in combat and economy.

In addition to the DLC announcement, Rising Lords is now available DRM-free on GOG. To celebrate its arrival, the game is 25% off for a limited time. When The Pilgrim War launches, it will also be available on GOG alongside all other platforms.
Rising Lords is currently available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One/Series X|S. The Pilgrim War DLC is set to launch later this year.
