Ice Code Games, creators of Hard West 2, and publisher Tripwire Presents have released a free demo for their new pirate-themed roguelite, Rogue Waters, now available for PC via Steam. Players can embark on their first journey into this tactical, turn-based world, where environments and map manipulation play a major role in combat. To celebrate, the game is currently offered at a 20% discount on Steam (through Nov. 20) and on the Epic Games Store (through Nov. 18), reducing its price from $29.99 to $23.99.
Set in a cursed pirate world, Rogue Waters challenges players to recruit and develop a crew, summon mythical sea creatures, and master both land and naval tactics in an ever-changing environment. Notably, the game’s “turn-the-tides” feature allows captains to reshape terrain with their ship’s artillery, providing a tactical edge during close-quarters battles.
Ice Code Games also shared a roadmap outlining major updates planned through February 2025. These updates include new skill trees, item sets, and a new playable unit and enemy class, promising ongoing content and gameplay balancing.
