One of my most anticipated titles just dropped a new gameplay trailer during the Secret Sauce showcase: Band of Crusaders, a strategy RPG co-developed by Virtual Alchemy and Ironward and published by NCSOFT.

Band of Crusaders thrusts you into a decaying, demon-haunted medieval Europe, where you lead a squad of Crusader knights.
On paper, it’s reminiscent of Battle Brothers, but key twists set it apart: fully 3D visuals and real-time combat with a tactical slow-motion layer for issuing orders on grid-less battlefields.

From a ramshackle camp that you expand into a fortified headquarters, you’ll recruit up to 20 uniquely skilled crusaders, forge their weapons, and shape their multi‑role builds, no rigid classes here.
You’ll recruit new warriors, juggle resources, and navigate rival factions, forming alliances or making enemies as you see fit, all across richly designed sandbox maps that promise countless hours of gameplay.
Beyond the frontline, a living sandbox reacts to your victories and failures: human factions jostle for power, seasons pass, day turns to night, and the demonic tide grows bolder until arch‑fiends stalk the land.
Band of Crusaders is a PC Game planned for release through Steam and GOG, with no release date yet. However, in a May update, the developers confirmed that a private playtest is coming soon. For now, check out the new trailer from the Secret Sauce indie celebration below.
