Sky Of Tides Isometric RPG

I was telling you that story-driven RPGs, where everything revolves around the choices you make and combat isn’t the main focus—in fact, there’s no combat at all—are becoming increasingly popular after the success of Disco Elysium, which we can consider the pioneer of this storytelling approach in video games. Today, I have a new one to announce: it’s called Sky Of Tides, set in a futuristic world and offering more than 30 possible endings.

What is Sky of Tides

Sky of Tides is an upcoming sci-fi narrative adventure RPG set in the richly detailed universe of numen9, a world teetering on the edge of war after a catastrophic event that fractured the planet into nine distinct planetoids. Players step into the shoes of Rin D’Lorah, a courageous teenage girl on a perilous quest to find her missing father.

Accompanied by a rebellious runaway and a humor-infused robot, Rin must navigate the most treacherous regions of numen9, making choices that will shape her destiny and the future of the world. The game’s narrative is deeply intertwined with its gameplay, offering a fresh approach to RPG mechanics by rewarding balanced play rather than traditional stat optimization.

Launching in Q1 2025, Sky of Tides is being developed by Lofty Sky Entertainment, a Toronto-based studio known for its compelling storytelling. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

A new demo showcasing updated gameplay is now available on Steam, coinciding with its Gamescom 2024 presentation. The demo also offers a unique incentive: players who achieve balanced gameplay can unlock an exclusive animated companion series, Sky of Tides: Alta, adding even more depth to this intriguing narrative universe, below screens and trailer.
