After months of waiting, here we are with the western release date for Starbites. NIS America and Ikigames announced today that the Sci-Fi Turn-Based RPG will come to PS5, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 21st, 2026.
Although it came out in Japan on October 16th, 2025, this is finally giving us all an idea of when we’ll get to experience the desert world and adventure of Starbites in the West.
In Starbites, you play as a young Salvager named Lukida who gets pulled into a larger story about the past of a War-Scarred Planet called Bitter. You’ll explore across the Dunes on custom Motorbots; where you fight using a turn-based system based on breaking your enemies’ Defenses, and building Momentum by using “Driver’s High”, a Mechanic which allows you to take additional turns, and even flip the Timeline in your Favor.
The Steam Store page currently indicates that there will be single-player content. There are three languages for full voice acting (English, Japanese and Korean) and French for the subtitles.
In addition to the standard version of Starbites, NIS America’s online store will be offering a Limited Edition for $89.99. Below the release date announcement trailer.
