Swordhaven Iron Cospiracy

The much-anticipated Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy has officially entered its Early Access phase. Developed and published by AtomTeam, the creators of ATOM RPG, this fantasy cRPG promises a nostalgic yet modernized experience for fans of classic role-playing games like Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale. Set in the sprawling land of Nova Drakonia, the game combines rich storytelling, tactical combat, and exploration with a focus on community-driven development during its Early Access period.

Swordhaven CRPG

In Swordhaven, you assume the role of a lone adventurer thrust into a world of intrigue and danger after inheriting a mysterious artifact from a dying stranger. This artifact leads you into an intricate conspiracy that threatens the existence of Nova Drakonia itself. The game’s narrative emphasizes player choice, offering multiple pathways to tackle quests and approach dilemmas.

Key features of the game include a versatile combat engine allowing players to switch between turn-based battles and real-time with pause (RTwP) modes. Its classless roleplaying system offers immense flexibility, enabling players to craft unique characters with stats that influence gameplay, dialogue options, and quest resolutions.

The current Early Access version includes the middle region of Nova Drakonia, complete with background-specific dungeons, villages, and random encounter maps across diverse biomes. While the main quests for this area are playable, some locations remain under development. The developers aim to enhance the game throughout Early Access by adding more dungeons, explorable regions, quests, bosses, weapons, and combat animations based on community feedback.

AtomTeam has emphasized its commitment to involving the gaming community in the development process. Feedback will be actively collected through Steam forums, social media platforms, and their dedicated Discord server. This collaborative approach reflects their previous successes, with community suggestions accounting for a significant portion of additional content in their earlier games.

The Early Access phase is expected to last 1 to 1.5 years, targeting a full release between Q4 2025 and Q3 2026, below an overview via Steam, screens and trailer.

Swordhaven is a fantasy cRPG inspired by Infinity Engine titles—Baldur’s Gate 1, Icewind Dale, etc.—as well as other classics.

You take up the mantle of a lonely adventurer on their way to the barely explored land of Nova Drakonia.

During your voyage, you are met by a dying man who trusts you with a peculiar artefact that will involve you in an adventure of a lifetime, and a plot that threatens everything you’ve ever known and loved.

Some of Swordhaven’s core features include:

 A flexible combat engine. Experience battle as a tactician in turn-based combat, or hasten the pace with the real-time with pause (RTwP) mode;

 A classless roleplaying system: each stat combination provides a unique gaming experience, distinctive dialogues, and novel ways to solve quests;

 A classics-inspired yet modern User Interface with large customization possibilities;

 A vast, nonlinear world filled with unique NPCs and multi-solution quests that reward exploration, always offering alternative approaches to satisfy any character build;

 Dozens of hours of exploration, from quiet village hamlets to hidden temples of the ancients, horrid crypts, bizarre dungeons, and otherworldly locales…
