The highly-anticipated turn-based volleyball RPG Beastieball is set to launch in Early Access for PC on Steam on November 12, as announced by Klei Publishing and developer Wishes Unlimited. The Early Access version will offer a complete, story-driven experience, taking 15 to 25 hours to finish, with additional post-game content to explore. The game will stay in Early Access through 2025, with regular updates planned to introduce new Beasties, bosses, events, characters, and quality-of-life enhancements.
In Beastieball, you coach a team of Beasties, using turn-based strategies on a tactics grid to win matches. Teamwork is key, as the relationships Beasties form—whether as besties, rivals, or even sweethearts—unlock unique combo moves crucial for success. The game features an open world with Ranked coaches to challenge and a flexible progression system where defeating bosses strengthens your remaining opponents, keeping the stakes high.
Beyond sports, Beastieball includes relationship-building mechanics, allowing you to deepen connections with characters and uncover additional story elements. Players can expect a blend of tactical gameplay and narrative depth as they climb the ranks of the Beastieball League and face off against rivals, sponsors, and a mysterious Sports King.

Bosses are all revealed on your map from the start and can be defeated in any order. With each one you defeat, the others become stronger, so no matter which way you go you’ll have a tough and exciting rise to the top.
Play sports in strategic turn-based encounters on a tiny tactics grid. When you have the ball, you have multiple actions to pass and set up a devastating attack. When the other team has the ball, you’ll have to anticipate their attack and make a defense play.
Every Beastie has unique traits, strengths and weaknesses and they have many ways to work together, lending a great deal of depth and strategy to every match.
