Demonschool will no longer launch on September 3 as planned. Publisher Ysbryd Games confirmed today that the school-life tactics RPG will now arrive on November 19, 2025, across PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The decision comes after what the publisher described as “anguished consideration,” citing both harsh 2025 release conditions and the looming release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which hits just one day after Demonschool’s original date. According to Ysbryd, shifting the launch gives the game a better chance to stand out rather than risk being overshadowed.

While the delay is disappointing, the extra time means more content at launch. Necrosoft Games is adding additional endings and minigames that were originally planned as post-release updates. Ysbryd stressed this will be the final delay and that fans can expect the full release in November at $24.99.

Demonschool

Demonschool mixes tactics gameplay with school-life storytelling, drawing inspiration from Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and classic Italian horror films. Players follow Faye and her team of demon hunters through a surreal academic year, balancing studies, friendships, and supernatural battles.

The game will launch on November 19, 2025, on Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
